About Labradorite
Labradorite is a stone named after Labrador, Canada, where it was originally discovered around 1770. It has since been discovered in other places, including Finland, Madagascar, and Australia. This stone exhibits a unique optical effect, known as “ Labradorescence,” in which light is refracted within the layers of the stone, causing a blue, white, or even green flash of color.
Metaphysically, Labradorite is thought to be a stone of strong protection against negativity. Also a stone of transformation, it balances and protects the aura, stimulates the imagination and calms an overactive mind, enhances intuition and psychic abilities.
