Turquoise Pendant and Earring Set

Turquoise!  Three matching disks of beautiful Turquoise are wrapped in Sterling Silver in the "Waterfall" design.  The Pendant measures approximately 1 3/8" long.  The Earrings  hang 1 7/8" including their Sterling silver French hook earwires.

Turquoise is an opaque stone found in colors ranging from a bright blue to green blue or yellow blue.  It usually has black, brown or gray inclusions of the matrix rock in which it is found.  Its use for jewelry dates back thousands of years.  While most cultures believed that turquoise was a stone of protection, some cultures would adorn horse saddles and bridles to protect from falls. It is also a symbol of friendship.  Turquoise is the birthstone for December.
